Our Take: This movie is not intentionally a horror movie but a mystery movie by an amazing author, Sir Conan Doyle. Due to its sense of horror it makes a great must see especially around Halloween if you love the old movies like I do. It has a great twist for a murder yet is spooky. The mystery revolves around the Baskerville moors and comes with a setting of rainy weather, foggy moors, howling wolves and the black and white style of movies of the day. Dr. Mortimer suspects the death of his friend Sir Charles is not the heart attack but murder. The Baskerville family had supposedly been under a curse since the Civil War and this mystery is investigated by Sherlock Holmes in the way only he can. There are many twists and turns as this mystery is unraveled and if you love mystery and horror as I do it is a great classic to watch. The Hound of the Baskervilles gets 4 out of 5 skulls!
