Horror Scapes -
Hauntingly wonderful works of art
Stephen King has been a staple for my childhood summer book reading programs.  "It" was a masterpiece but one I never got around to reading. I enjoyed the original movie series adaptation but the re-imagining that hit theaters this September was sensational!

Andreia swells the senses with this take on Pennywise and it's truly a masterpiece! The backdrop perfectly captures the eeriness allowing It's full creepiness to grab your attention.  The detail is impressive and one might fear this spot on replica jumping out at any moment.  This amazing, epic piece screams 5 out of 5 Skulls - Daniel Curtis Morrison/Paranormal Crosswave

Aghast From the Past

Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein

Director:  Charles Barton
Writers:   Robert Lees Frederic I. Rinaldo (original screenplay)
Stars:   Bud Abbott, Lou Costello, Lon Chaney Jr

The Blurb: Two hapless freight handlers find themselves encountering Dracula, the Frankenstein Monster and the Wolf Man.

Our Take: Its Bud and Lou at their best. I grew up with these guys and old horror movies of the day were scary. Bud and Lou add a bit of humor to this movie in their own funny style. This movie is very creative. Dracula and Frankenstein arrive in the USA via crates on a ship. Bud and Lou work in a receiving company and are responsible for opening the crates and checking the contents when they arrive. The creepies come in when Lou is left alone with Dracula’s coffin and reads the history out loud. The coffin opens slowly and scares him. Although he calls out for help, he is the only one there to see this. Lou opens the crate with Frankenstein inside and freaks out. In a moment of distraction, as the owner reprimands Bud and Lou for his property  disappearing , Dracula activates his monster and they sneak away.  The purpose of Dracula and his monster is to get to Dracula's castle.
The events that follow are scary and funny as Bud and Lou make their way to the castle with Lou knowing the monsters are there and Bud thinking otherwise. This is a must see!
